Cornelius M. Alig co-founded Mansur as a real estate development company in Indianapolis in 1982. Since then, Mr. Alig has been an instrumental force in Mansur’s evolution into a full-service real estate company involved in commercial and residential land development, urban redevelopment, hospitality, multi-family and construction management projects, asset and property management, as well as facilities engineering and IT services. In 2001, Alig and Charles Cagann acquired full ownership of the company. Mr. Alig earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1978 from Tulane University in New Orleans, and a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design in 1982 from Columbia University of New York. Prior to 1982, he was a practicing architect with two prominent Indianapolis firms. Presently, Mr. Alig has been involved with a number of community and cultural organizations, most notably the Indiana State Museum, Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana, Inc., Methodist Hospital Foundation, Inc., Athenaeum Foundation, Inc. and the Indianapolis Arts Center. Mr. Alig is also a recipient of the ARTI Award from the Arts Council of Indianapolis.
Charles R. Cagann is responsible for the programming and implementation of all development projects. Mr. Cagann joined Mansur in March of 1985 as Director of Development, was promoted to Vice President in 1987 and has been serving as President since 1990. Cagann is credited with establishing Mansur’s residential development division, which has projects in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Cagann graduated from Ball State University, Indiana in 1972 with a degree in Urban Planning. Prior to joining Mansur, he was Administrator of the Indianapolis Division of Economic and Housing Development and held various planning positions within the Department of Metropolitan Development. Project highlights during his tenure include the Circle Centre Mall, Union Station renovation, and the Lower Canal improvements. Mr. Cagann is currently affiliated with the Ball State Indianapolis Center, Fostering Urban Strategies, Massachusetts Area Committee IDI/Riley Area, Fall Creek Place Homeowners Association and the Building Futures Institute. |
